The T200HD has a built-in antenna strength signal meter which is easily accessible from the menu button on the remote control handset. Also, highly recommend the Terk indoor amplified antenna that everybody gives rave reviews. Easy to program for TV and hook up to indoor antenna.
Get this Samsung, or the bigger one if your budget allows. Are you ready for some football. The aforementioned signal meter makes antenna alignment easy by taking the guesswork out of positioning.
Magnificent quality picture. Now, I can watch football in the spare bedroom while my lovely wife watches the big screen elsewhere. Thanks, Amazon.
Purchased Terk HDTVa amplified indoor antenna from Amazon with this Samsung T200HD 20-inch Touch of Color LCD HDTV Widescreen Monitor, followed the set up instructions programmed into the T200HD, and voila, got 20 over the air picture perfect free-of-charge local HD broadcast signals. Highly recommend this TV/monitor.
The only problem is that the sound quality isn't great but it's good enough. The remote is huge so it's hard to lose. Also, there are no composite inputs for my wii but wii looks better on sdtv anyway This little hdtv is great. I bought it for my ps3 and xbox 360 and the picture is amazing.
I would tell my own family and friends that this is a excellent TV for the kitchen or kids room.
I called the number that the card gave, and I spoke with a gentleman who repeated over and over that I had sent Samsung a cutout of the Amazon/Fedex label, but that is not possible because I still have that part of the box intact. [.]. rebate. After many weeks, I got a card saying that the rebate was being denied because I had not supplied them with the upc. All three of the people with whom I spoke talked loudly, condescendingly and, frankly, rudely. So, a very good machine, as long as one doesn't need to speak with anyone at Samsung. What they had done with it, I cannot tell you. I tried to ask why, when it was Samsung that had lost the material I had sent.
She repeated the same thing, and refused to answer my question. The T200HD is a fine machine - a little quirky, but with a very good picture. They had all the other information about my purchase, name, address, the Amazon sales slip in their computer. He talked over me and hung up. I then put all the required materials in an envelope and sent it to the correct address. He repeated that I must submit. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I got it for my waiting room, and it isn't used very much, but because it is a monitor, it comes with a 3 year warranty rather than the usual one year on TV's.Unfortunately, it also came with a [.].
The point of contention. You may well ask why I have spent so much time on this. Again she talked over me and hung up. I called again, and got Natalie (by the way these names are likely fictional or the English versions of the originals - the accents were definitely of foreign origin), the floor supervisor. I hate being scammed, and I hate even more being treated as a non-person. These people obviously have a formula from which there is no deviation no matter what the facts are. I hear that Sony doesn't make bad TVs. bucks. I very carefully copied everything the form requested, filled out the form carefully, and from the box I cut out the actual square the has the UPC/Serial Number, Model number etc.
At no time did I raise my voice or use bad language. I asked why I could not just tell him what the UPC is because I kept a copy and there is no way for me to have the UPC without buying the machine. I know I sent the correct thing because I still have the box, and the correct portion is cut out. After 18 minutes, I got George.
I did a lot of research on 20 inch monitors and this was by far the best buy. Easy set up. I love the ability to hook a TV cable and create a TV/Monitor combo. This is an excellent buy and the monitor is great as well.
